Jeffrey Gosnear named president of Grotto Pizza
Grotto Pizza recently announced the promotion of two longtime employees.
Jeffrey Gosnear is now president of the Rehoboth Beach-based restaurant group, which has 23 locations in Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania.
Adam Webster is the company’s new vice president of operations.
Dominick Pulieri will remain CEO of the company, which he founded in 1960 with his sister Mary Jean and her husband Joseph Paglianite.
“We have been planning the transition for many years now,” said Gosnear, who was previously executive vice president. “We have experienced a high-growth phase, and it’s an exciting time to lead Grotto Pizza.”
During Gosnear’s tenure, the company opened a centralized commissary in Dover, seven new Delaware locations and four restaurants in Maryland. Grotto Pizza is currently developing a new Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk hotel with a planned spring 2025 opening.
Gosnear also served as CFO of the hospitality company for three years.
“I love the employees that make up this 63-year-old company,” he said.
Indeed, Adam Webster grew up with Grotto Pizza. His career started in 1987 when he was a high school student, and he never looked back.
“He worked his way up into management positions and knows our company inside and out,” Gosnear said. “There’s no better person for the vice president of operations job.”
While holding multiunit management positions, Webster earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Wilmington University.
He served on the company’s executive management committee and was instrumental in restructuring its operational protocols.
“I’m proud to be a part of such an iconic company,” Webster said. “Community, family and passion are at the heart of Grotto Pizza. Working with so many talented people over the last 35-plus years has been a privilege. I’m certainly excited to contribute to the future growth of our Delaware-based company.”
Webster and his wife Fadwa have three children, Kenza, Jake and Noah. The family lives in Milford.
Gosnear and his wife Lily have two grown children, Lauren and Jay.
