John Denver tribute performance in Milton July 29
The legendary John Denver evokes memories of an era in music which was both inspiring and influential. His music was a combination of romance - "Annie's Song," folk - "Leavin' on a Jet Plane," country - "Thank God I'm a Country Boy," and environmentalist - "Calypso." The music of the songwriter and performer lives on as Milton Theatre presents John Denver tribute artist Ted Vigil for shows at 3 and 8 p.m., Saturday, July 29.
Vigil, a man who, according to longtime Denver guitar accompanist Steve Weisberg, closely resembles Denver both physically and musically, is carrying on the tradition honoring this colossal music icon. Weisberg now accompanies Vigil and is happy to once again be bringing the great compositions and hits to audiences via a quality interpreter of Denver's music.Vigil is not an impersonator, but rather sings a tribute to this great man. His gift for the music, and polished and energetic performing style present a warm and delightful evening through some of the world's most popular music.
Tickets are $20-$30. The theatre is at 110 Union St., Milton. For more information or to purchase tickets, go to MiltonTheatre.com or call 302-684-3038.
