John Watson Beach III, 59, of Lewes, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014, at his home. He was born Aug. 28, 1954, in Dover, son of John W. and Genevie Beach.

Mr. Beach graduated from Dover High School in 1972. Following his graduation, he attended St. Mary's College of Maryland in Lexington Park, Md. for one year. For many years, Mr. Beach worked for the Barcroft Industries until an unfortunate accident in 1980 from which he suffered a traumatic head injury.

After a year of rehabilitation, Mr. Beach began to work in the maintenance at the Harbor Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Lewes. He would later work in sales at Lowe's and again in maintenance at Cadbury at Lewes. The residents of Cadbury loved him because he would always have time to lend a friendly helping hand.

Mr. Beach had a gift for fixing anything that required repair. He enjoyed working with wood and building furniture. He also loved and was very proud of his 1972 Corvette.

His family and friends will miss his genuine smile and his friendly ways.
