John ‘Jack’ Anthony Bucci, cherished his family
John “Jack” Anthony Bucci, 83, of Lewes passed away Monday, April 27, 2020. He was born Feb. 28, 1937, in Philadelphia, Pa., son of the late Anthony and Frances (Trask) Bucci.
Jack was a proud veteran, having honorably served in the U.S. Army. He built a career in law enforcement, dedicating many years to the City of Philadelphia as a police officer. After retiring, Jack relocated to St. Petersburg, Fla. His knowledge of electrical, plumbing and woodworking led him to start his own handyman business, as well as working as a maintenance man for AAA and the Seminole Fire Department. After retiring from the Seminole Fire Department, Jack relocated to Sussex County with his wife Frances. He enjoyed cooking, which he learned as a teenager working in his uncle's restaurant in Philadelphia, following politics, and could be frequently seen walking his dogs in the neighborhood. Above all, Jack cherished time spent with those he held most dear. He was a devoted husband, stepfather and loving son, who cared for and supported his mother during his entire adult life.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his sister, Marie Bucci. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Frances; and stepson Joseph.
Due to the restrictions of the COVID-19 pandemic, services and interment will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
