Katherine Ann Worthington, U.S. Attorney’s Office retiree

Katherine Ann Worthington, 70, of Bowie, Md., passed away Thursday, Jan. 6, 2022, at her residence in Rehoboth Beach. She was born Feb. 16, 1951, in Washington, D.C., daughter of the late Leland G. Worthington Jr. and Mary Elizabeth Moseley Worthington.  She was also predeceased by a brother, James Worthington, formerly of College Park, Md.; and a sister-in-law of Charlotte, N.C.

Miss Worthington retired as an assistant U.S. attorney after 25 years of service for the US Attorney’s Office in Washington, D.C.  She was thoroughly interested in the family ancestry and worked on it for many years as well as tending to her gardens.

Miss Worthington is survived by two sisters, Deborah Frazzano of Rehoboth Beach, and Patricia Sartain of Glen Allen, Va.; brother, Charles Worthington of Charlotte; three nephews, Mark Sartain Jr. of Glen Allen, Michael Frazzano and Stephen Frazzano, both of  Rehoboth Beach; four nieces, Amber Prescott of Glen Allen, Lauren Worthington and Jacqueline Worthington, both of Charlotte, and Ashley Williams of Spotsylvania, Va.; great-niece, Mikaila Prescott of Glen Allen; great-nephews, Jessie Prescott of Glen Allen, and Aidan Williams of Spotsylvania; brothers-in-law, Mark Sartain of Glen Allen, and Frank Frazzano of Rehoboth Beach.

All services will be private.
