Kathryn D. Webb, active church member
Kathryn “Kay” D. Webb peacefully went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2024. Kathryn was born May 24, 1928, in Harbeson, to Lloyd and Edna Betts Davidson.
As a teenager, she enjoyed being a cheerleader for the Golden Knights as a Georgetown High School Class of 1946 graduate.
Kathryn’s greatest joy was raising her four children and being a wife to “Bob” L. Robbins Webb. She was known for fabulous, well-loved macaroni and cheese, and home-cooked meals fresh from her garden.
Many fun times were spent square dancing and camping with her husband as a member of the Whirl-A-Ways and Holiday Rambler Camping Club. She always looked forward to playing shuffleboard, cards, and bingo at her winter home in Fort Myers, Fla.
She was active in her church, Avenue United Methodist Church, for over 70 years as a member of the Women of Faith Circle and Sisters Bible Study.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her brother, Robert Davidson; her sisters, Mildred Albert, Helen Flood and Nancy Joseph; and her granddaughter, Sarah Kathleen Webb.
Her children cherish her memory, Howard A. Webb (Kay), Connie Bushey (Jack), Lucius R. Webb Jr., and Lloyd R. Webb (Nancy); her grandchildren, Kristin Patey, Andrea Wall, Andy Webb, John Bushey, Josh Bushey, Jonathan Webb, Scott Webb and James Webb; and 12 great-grandchildren. She adored her many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 27, at Rogers Hovatter Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave., Milford.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Oct. 28, at Avenue United Methodist Church, 20 N. Church St., Milford.
Interment is Private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Kathryn’s memory may be made to United Women of Faith, 20 N. Church St., Milford, DE 19963; or Delaware Hospice.
