Award-winning photographer Kevin Fleming will host a one-day photography workshop from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, June 29, at the Lewes Public Library. Attendance is limited to the first 30 registrants.
Participants will learn how Fleming photographs portraits, landscapes, wildlife, action and aerials. He will improve attendees’ knowledge of camera and lens elements by covering camera basics including lens settings, shutter speeds, depth of field/shutter speed comparison, and how to correctly use a camera to yield better mastery of photography.
Fleming will discuss light, color, shape and composition in regard to photographing portraits, landscapes, wildlife, sports and macro subjects. The goal is to help participants develop and improve their photographer's eye and help them make photographs rather than simply taking pictures.
There will also be coverage of post-production practices – Photoshop basic tools, HDR samples, including RAW files, effective cropping, use of crop tool, clone stamp, healing brush, layer masks and sharpening.
Price of the all-day seminar is $150. Participants will receive an autographed copy of Kevin's book "The Heart of America" or "Wild Delmarva" (a $50 value). A catered lunch is included.
This seminar is for photographers with some experience who want to improve their skills. To get the most from this class, students should be using a digital single-lens reflex camera (not a point-and-shoot).
