Knights of Columbus donates $5,000 to Sonshine Equine

Members of the Knights of Columbus Msgr. Francis J. Desmond Council 13348 of Lewes recently presented a check for $5,000 to the Sonshine Equine Horsemanship and Therapeutic Riding Center.
The Lewes-area nonprofit’s mission is to encourage and empower participants to develop present-time awareness, conflict-resolution skills, patience and self-identity through a program of horsemanship skills, and equine-assisted learning and riding.
Funds were raised through the Knights’ Tootsie Roll Drive, which supports individuals with special needs.
