Lefty’s Alley & Eats honors those who help

December 12, 2024

Lefty’s Alley & Eats transformed its lively entertainment venue into a hub of generosity Dec. 3.

Giving Tuesday drew in nonprofit employees and their families as a way of saying thank you and providing a night of fun. Included in the event was the Lewes Police Foundation, Milton Community Food Pantry, MERR Institute, Radio Rehoboth, Community Integrated Services, Shepherd’s Office, Developing Artists Collaboration, West Rehoboth Children & Youth Program, Duffle Bags & More, and the Cancer Support Community.

“Once a year, on Giving Tuesday, we recognize 10 nonprofit organizations within a 30-mile radius who may not have the money in their funds to celebrate or recognize volunteers or staff members” said D.J. Hill, founder and owner of Lefty’s Alley & Eats. “This is a way for us to provide a holiday party for them, and in addition, we provide each of them with a check for $500. We need to remember we’re part of a bigger collective here in the Cape Region, and I want to recognize the people doing good in our community.”
