Legacy Academy program to honor veterans Nov. 6

Legacy Academy, the only classical Christian school in Sussex County, invites local veterans to an upcoming program honoring their military service at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 6, at Calvary Baptist Church, 22860 Dupont Blvd., Georgetown. Students will perform patriotic songs and recitation. The school will provide luncheon after the program.

“Legacy Academy is privileged to show our appreciation and admiration in our second annual veterans program for all who have sacrificially served our country. We owe a debt of gratitude to our veterans for the freedom we enjoy as a school and as a nation,” said Karen Barbrow, Legacy Academy head of school. “Legacy believes veterans represent our school’s core virtues. Our school uniquely encourages the formation of students’ character. We celebrate veterans by pointing our students to their example as one to emulate.”
