Lewes wealth advisor featured on FOX Business

Local wealth advisor Eddie Ghabour is slated to make another appearance on the FOX Business channel program Varney & Co., at 10 a.m., Dec. 4.

This marks the third time the managing partner of Lewes-based Key Advisors Group LLC, has been invited to discuss financial strategies on Varney & Co., and true to his word, the host will make good on the veiled threat he offered in October.

Ghabour offered timely strategies and percentages to a 67-year-old caller that impressed the English-American economic journalist Stuart Varney to say, "Eddie, you'll be back if you're not careful."

Ghabour said the media attention began after he gave a speech that aroused the interest of a representative at a conference in Florida late last summer. They exchanged contact information and Ghabour said he thought little more about it until he got the call to appear on the Fox Business morning show.

The wealth advisor is a Sussex County native and graduate of Sussex Central High who opened Key Advisors Group LLC nearly 15 years ago, not long after he graduated from York College in 1998.

"I was thinking, 'What do they want to know about Key Advisors Group on FOX  Business?'" Ghabour said. "But lo, and behold, they called."

"One of the advantages we have as a firm is that we are independent," he said. "We have access to a tremendous number of different money managers."

As a managing partner at Key Advisors, the money man said he has an interest and personal stake in the dual specialization in financial management for business owners and clients approaching retirement who want to preserve and grow their wealth.

"I can relate to what a business owner deals with day-to-day because I am a business owner myself, " Ghabour said. "I understand the challenges they face trying to grow their business."

At the other end of the spectrum, Key Advisors also attracts a large clientele interested in protecting what they already have.

"Our clients are higher net worth and we decided to specialize in that 50-plus age group," Ghabour said. "It fits our style of being a little more conservative."

Because his company is not tied to any large firms, he said, they can also design custom portfolios based on the goals clients want to accomplish.

As it turns out, producers and viewers of the FOX Business network want to know about many of the same strategies he shares with his affluent clientele.

"Eddie, we like you because you gave specific advice to a specific individual which is useable advice," Varney said. "We really, really like that."
