LHS to host British Invasion live music event Aug. 29

August 22, 2024

The Lewes Historical Society is wrapping up summer with The British Invasion – From Blockade to Beatles, a lively concert commemorating the arrival of the British in both 1812 and 1964.

A perfect blend of history, music and community spirit, the event will take place from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 29, at 110 Shipcarpenter St., Lewes. Tickets are $75 per person.

Attendees will be treated to live renditions of classic hits by the Beatles and other legendary British bands performed by national recording artists Robert LeBlanc and Tony Sciuto, formerly of the Little River Band.

Each admission ticket includes two drink coupons for beer or wine, and a variety of tasty catered dishes. All proceeds will support the preservation of the LHS Cannonball House, the last building standing that bears scars from the bombardment of Lewes in the War of 1812.

Guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs to enjoy the outdoor concert comfortably.

Sponsors include Freedom Boat Club, the Lee Ann Wilkinson Group, Dogfish Head, Delaware Roofing, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, Paul Cullen Wines, Go Brit! and Puzzles.
