Lincoln man charged in Georgetown burglaries
A Lincoln man faces charges after police say he stole a four-wheeler from one home and lawn equipment from another in Georgetown.
Police were called to the first home April 9 in the 26000 block of Lewes-Georgetown Highway after someone entered a storage container and took a four-wheeler, a mini bike and numerous power tools. On April 18, police said, someone took lawn and garden equipment from a home of a woman, 66, in the 25000 block of Prettyman Road.
Police have determined Frank Montgomery, 32, was behind both burglaries. They arrested him April 22. He was charged with felony third-degree burglary, felony theft over $1,500, theft under $1,500 when the victim is over 62, theft under $1,500 and third-degree criminal trespass.
Montgomery was was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on his own recognizance.
