Lisa Vaughn Hayden, Super Fresh manager
Lisa Vaughn Hayden of Milford began her Life in Eternity Friday, Aug. 5, 2016, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Milford in 1956, she attended Milford and Cape Henlopen schools. An avid lover of horses, she traveled throughout harness tracks on the Delmarva Peninsula for many years as a groom. In approximately 1985, Lisa secured employment with Super Fresh (now Acme) in the Rehoboth/Lewes area, working eventually as manager of health and beauty aids, a position she held until stricken by cancer in early 2015. Other than the importance of family time, and her time with her friends at White's Chapel United Methodist Church, Lisa enjoy NASCAR racing, particularly her favorite driver, Martin Truax, who she saw race this past May, attending Dover Downs Monster Mile for the first time.
She was predeceased by her father, mother and brother, Robert D. Hayden Sr. and Patricia Phillips Hayden and Robert D. Hayden Jr.
Lisa is survived by her daughters, Sherri Marie Hayden and Monica Elizabeth Hayden, both of Lewes; and grandchildren, Vaughn, Kameron, Kyliegh and Khloe.
She is survived by her brother John P Hayden; sister Maggi Tice, and by her oldest sister, Pat Campbell-White of Lewes, with whom she lived during her treatments over the last six months. Also, surviving are half-siblings Robert Vaughn Hayden and Frances Hayden Reed.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 10, at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 20276 Bay Vista Road, Rehoboth Beach, where friends may call at 10 a.m. Interment will occur at Epworth Cemetery on Henlopen Avenue, Rehoboth Beach after a Memorial Luncheon at the church.
In lieu of flowers the family recommends donations to White's Chapel United Methodist Church, C/O Shirley Millman, 32149 Oak Drive, Lewes, DE 19958, or Relay for Life Southern Delaware, 19483 John J Williams Hwy., Lewes, DE 19958-4346.
