Mia Moshier earns Boston University dean’s list
Boston University announced that Mia Moshier of Lewes was named to its dean's list for the spring semester. Each school and college at Boston University has its own criterion for the dean's list, but students generally must attain a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale or be in the top 30 percent of their class.
Cameron Baldwin makes dean’s list at Frostburg State
Frostburg State University announced Cameron Baldwin of Lewes was named to its spring 2020 dean’s list. To be eligible, a student must earn a cumulative semester grade point average of at least 3.4 on a 4.0 scale.
Carly Freeman named to dean’s list at Champlain
Champlain College announced that Carly Freeman of Rehoboth Beach was named to its spring semester dean’s list. Freeman is majoring in graphic design and digital media. Students on the dean's list have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher during the semester.
Emily Cresta honored at Miami of Ohio
Emily Cresta of Rehoboth Beach was named to the dean's list at Miami University of Ohio for the spring semester. She graduated magna cum laude in May with a bachelor of science in business degree, majoring in finance.
Haley Schnupp named to Coastal Carolina dean’s list
Coastal Carolina University announced Haley Schnupp from Lewes was named to its spring dean’s list. Schnupp is studying elementary education.
Olivia Tennefoss of Greenwood named to Bluffton dean’s list
Bluffton University announced Olivia Tennefoss of Greenwood was named to its spring semester dean’s list.
Sarah Coffel named to Muhlenberg dean's list
Muhlenberg College named Sarah Coffel of Lewes to its dean's list for the spring 2020 semester. To be eligible, students must have a term GPA of 3.50 or higher.
Shannon Anfuso honored at Springfield College
Springfield College named Shannon Anfuso from Lewes to its dean's list for the spring semester. Anfuso is studying psychology.
Local residents named to RIT dean's list
Rochester Institute of Technology announced two local students were named to its spring dean’s list. Mario Lagunes of Milton is in the precision manufacturing technology program. Nevada Scott of Millsboro is in the medical illustration program.
Locals make dean’s list at University of Alabama
University of Alabama announced the following local students were named to its dean’s list with an academic record of 3.5 or above.
They are Sydney Boright of Lewes, Domenico Santo of Lewes and Madison Nickel of Millsboro.
Thu graduates with honors from Clark
Clark University announced that Phyo Phyo M. Thu of Lewes graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of arts degree in biochemistry and molecular biology.
Thu is a member of the Gryphon & Pleiades honor society.
Local students named to McDaniel College dean's list
McDaniel College announced these local students were named to its 2020 dean's list, recognizing full-time undergraduate students for outstanding academic achievement.
They are Sarah Aleman of Millsboro, with honors, and Amanda Sponaugle of Milton, with highest honors. Highest honors are earned for a semester grade point average of 3.90 or higher, and honors for a 3.50-3.69 GPA.
Emerson College honors local students
Emerson College announced two local students were named to its dean’s list for achieving a grade-point average of 3.7 or higher.
Caitlin Hudecheck of Lewes graduated with a degree in stage and production management. Kathryn Redefer of Rehoboth Beach is a journalism major in the class of 2021.
Local students named to University of New Haven dean’s list
The University of New Haven announced the following local students were named to its spring dean’s list. Olivia Wilson of Lewes is majoring in psychology.
Romy Carter of Millsboro is working toward a bachelor of science degree in dental hygiene. Skylar Ceballos of Millsboro is a criminal justice major.
Donovan makes William & Mary dean's list
The College of William & Mary announced Caroline Donovan of Lewes was named to the dean's list for the spring 2020 semester.
Local residents honored at Arcadia University
Arcadia University honored Jacob Brown of Lewes and Aliyah Browning of Milton for academic excellence during the fall and spring semesters.
Bennett of Lewes earns Susquehanna dean’s list
Susquehanna University announced that Cape Henlopen High School graduate Sarah Bennett of Lewes was named to its dean's list for the spring semester. A music major, Bennett also went on tour with the Susquehanna University Choir March 6-12.
Kaan named to Gettysburg dean's honor list
Gettysburg College announced Hannah Kaan of Millsboro was placed on its dean's honor list for outstanding academic achievement.
Lewes residents honored at Clemson
Clemson University announced that Andrew Benson Stickler of Rehoboth Beach was named to its president's list for achieving a 4.0 grade-point average. Stickler is majoring in food science and human nutrition.
Grace Brokaw and Laura Elizabeth Issel of Lewes were named to the dean's list. Brokaw graduated with a mechanical engineering degree.
Issel is majoring in biological sciences.
Local students honored at Rhode Island
The University of Rhode Island announced two local students were named to its spring semester dean's list.
They are Jake Gladfelter of Lewes and McKenna O’Donnell of Millsboro. To be included, students must have achieved at least a 3.30 quality point average.
Local residents earn Lebanon Valley College dean’s list
Lebanon Valley College announced three Sussex graduates named to its dean's list for the spring 2020 semester. To be eligible, students must maintain a GPA of at least 3.4 out of 4.0.
Local honorees include Rylee Shockley of Millsboro; Shelby Hoke of Millsboro; and Kirstyn McNamara of Milton.
Students earn Delaware FFA proficiency awards
At the 90th Delaware State FFA Convention, Delaware FFA members from across the state earned state proficiency awards. Local students recognized include William “Jacob” Smith of Milford, Specialty Animal Production; and Delaney Zolper of Cape Henlopen, Swine Production-Placement. Agricultural Proficiency Awards honor FFA members who, through supervised agricultural experiences, develop skills that they can apply toward their future careers. Proficiency awards provide recognition to members who are exploring and becoming established in ag career pathways.
