The 2023 Zap Pro/Am World Championships of Skimboarding took over McKinley Avenue in Dewey Beach Aug. 11-13.
When the Atlantic Ocean had settled, Lucas Fink from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, had taken top honors in the men’s pro division. Local favorite and Cape grad Ethan Redefer garnered second, while Gerardo Valencia placed third and Zac Henderson took fourth.
Isabel Blanco Fuentes of Mexico skimmed to first in the women’s pro division, with Casey McCullough in second, Sydney Pizza in third and Ashley Poshard in fourth.
