Man charged with stealing Agave restaurant van

A Lewes man faces charges in connection with a February burglary at Agave restaurant in which police said he stole a work van.

In the early hours of Feb. 14, Delaware State Police said John Ottolini, 37, entered Agave Mexican Restaurant near Rehoboth Beach through an unlocked door and took money, alcohol and the keys to a Ford Transit van. He then left in the van, which police said they recovered the next day. Police had issued a warrant for Ottolini’s arrest, and he was apprehended March 27. Ottolini was taken to Troop 7, where he was charged with felony third-degree burglary, felony theft of a motor vehicle, and theft under $1,500. He was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 2, and released on his own recognizance.
