Mariner boys’ basketball falls to Selbyville

The Mariner boys’ basketball team moved to 1-3 on the season with a 38-32 loss to Selbyville Jan. 24 in Milton.
Camryn Joiner led the Vikings with nine points. Geordan Downing contributed eight, MarZell Burris added five, and Anthony Francis and Sadeem Miller scored four each. Chris Harris hit for two points.
The Indians were led by Darnell Stokes with nine points.
Down 10 at the halftime break, Mariner matched baskets with the Indians in the second half, but fell short at the final buzzer.
Mariner will host Postlethwait Wednesday, Jan. 26, while the Indians host Magnolia Middle.
