Mary E. Kelley, Acme retiree

Mary E. Kelley, 87, of Millsboro, formerly of Newark, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Monday, Aug. 28, 2017, at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford.

Mary retired from the Acme in Newark with over 37 years of service in 1999. She was a member of the Indian River Yacht Club in Oak Orchard, and enjoyed sewing, cooking and traveling.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Chuck" Kelley in 2011; and two brothers, Edward and Earl Jenkins. She is survived by four children, Bruce (Gail) Kelley of Smyrna, Charlotte (Tom) Wood of Lexington Park, Md., Catherine Murdoch of Florida and Bill (Kathy) Bell of Lewes. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Michael Wood of Indiana, Kayla Rodriguez of Connecticut, Daniel Kelley, Christopher Kelley and Rachel Kelley, all of Newark, Amanda Nichols of Connecticut, and Lauren, Anthony, Sean and Tracey Bell, all of Wilmington; and 17 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 2, at the Long Neck Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 32013 Long Neck Road, Millsboro, where the funeral service will begin at 11:30 a.m.

Interment will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 5, at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Mary's name to the Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
