Masks optional in Cape district at 6 p.m., March 1

Masks will be optional for staff, students and visitors in the Cape Henlopen School District beginning at 6 p.m., Tuesday, March 1 after a unanimous school board vote and emotional meeting Feb. 28.

The special meeting was scheduled after Gov. John Carney announced earlier in the day Feb. 28 that the mask mandate in Delaware schools, on school buses and in child care facilities would expire at 6 p.m. March 1.
