Millsboro chamber welcomes new executive director
The Greater Millsboro Chamber of Commerce has announced a transition of leadership, whereby current Executive Director Anne Angel will shift into the role of membership director while Nadine Timpanaro will come in as its new executive director.
The chamber has grown significantly during Angel’s tenure, with membership doubling and the chamber’s ability to serve those members improving dramatically. With a casino night and new golf tournament, the chamber has added signature events to complement its Stars and Stripes celebration. Angel established a regular schedule of engaging networking events and has built a strong relationship with the Town of Millsboro.
“When we brought Anne on board, we knew we would only have her for a couple years, but we also knew she was the ideal candidate to rebuild the chamber,” said Mike Dunmyer, board president. “Now, we’re thrilled for Nadine to bring her energy and marketing expertise to the executive director role while adding strength and capacity with Anne staying on part time as membership director.”
"Our growth has taken us to a point where we need to grow our team, and I am excited to continue working with our local businesses. We’ve had a successful rebranding of the chamber these past two years and now, incorporating Nadine and her strengths will help springboard us further,” said Angel.
Timpanaro has an extensive background in sales and marketing, most recently with Coastal Point newspaper. She’s been a highly engaged chamber member for years and enthusiastically served on the Stars and Stripes Committee. Timpanaro brings a focus on member care and engagement, along with a fresh perspective and innovative ideas.
“Nadine is the ideal person to take the reins at this time,” said Dunmyer. “She knows our strengths and areas to grow, understands where we are in the evolution of our strategic plan, and has the right set of skills to elevate the chamber’s ability to serve its members.”
“I am truly excited to join this vibrant community and lead our chamber during this exciting time of growth,” said Timpanaro. “Together, we will strengthen our relationships, foster collaboration among local businesses, and create opportunities that will benefit our members and the community at large. I am excited to join Anne, and I believe that with our combined efforts, we can achieve remarkable things and drive positive change for our chamber and its members."
