Milton Arts Guild classes kick off Jan. 12
Milton Arts Guild will offer a host of creative classes during the month of January, showcasing a broad spectrum of media and styles.
With the exception of the Jan. 23 watercolor class offered via Zoom, all sessions will be held at Studios on Walnut, 310 Walnut St., Milton. Except for the polymer clay class, students will supply their own materials.
Instructor Kathy Coyne will lead a session on windswept wire tree sculptures from 1 to 3 p.m., Friday, Jan. 12. The class will cover the basics of working with craft wire, and students will create a windswept wire tree from start to finish. The cost is $60.
Joe Terrone will teach a landscapes painting class from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Wednesdays, Jan. 17, Jan. 31, and Feb. 14. The three-part class costs $185.
A class on polymer clay cupid hearts with Donna Baratta is set for Wednesday, Jan. 17. Students will learn techniques for working with polymer clay as they create hearts that can be fashioned into pendants, earrings or small trinket dishes. The cost is $85 including materials.
Marie Natale will lead a watercolor class that also uses Elegant Writer ink pens from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 23, via Zoom only. Students will employ a loose and luminous approach to watercolor techniques embellished with an Elegant Writer pen, while creating a beautiful painting. The cost is $50.
Gerilyn Gaskill will lead students in a masking sailboat class from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 27. Students will learn how to employ clear masking tape to create sail shapes and use broad brushstrokes to capture the sky. The cost is $60.
