Milton Arts Guild kids classes to start Sept. 21
Milton Arts Guild has expanded its popular Saturday kids’ art classes to include children in grades one to four, in addition to its ongoing classes for kids in grades five to eight.
The two-hour classes are held on the third Saturday of each month at Studios on Walnut, 310 Walnut St., Milton. The new elementary program will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and will feature all-occasion card-making Sept. 21.
Classes for older children in grades five to eight will still be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Mandalas will be the theme Sept. 21.
Classes are taught by MAG member and veteran public school art teacher Karen Letonoff for the older kids, and MAG members Patty DiCampli and Beth Hammond for the younger children.
“We have been planning to add classes for younger children for some time,” said Sue Dutton, Milton Arts Guild board of directors president. “We are grateful and happy that Patty has stepped forward to lead this new addition, along with Beth. And we continue to be so pleased that Karen will still be inspiring the older kids with new and inventive classes.”
The classes cost $35 each, which includes supplies, and are offered on an à la carte basis. For more information and to sign up, go to miltonartsguild.org.
