Moore family provides Thanksgiving for local families

December 11, 2016

Elyse and Chad Moore of Rehoboth Beach, with children Max, Liza, Kat and Mason, offer unique support to Children's Beach House by providing Thanksgiving meals for those in need. "The Moore Family has been incredibly supportive to our programs over many years – and three generations! For the fifth year in a row, Elyse, Chad and their children have contributed everything necessary for 18 families to enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner. Every year I get a call from Elyse Moore, who simply asks how many families need help and how many people in each family," says Executive Director Rich Garrett.

"Elyse does more than just write a check – she actually plans the meals, arranges the food delivery and engages her family to assemble the baskets. We are so grateful for the kind and practical way they show up each Thanksgiving. They truly are thoughtful, engaged citizens who lead by example – not only for their own kids – but for all of us."

The Children's Beach House works to support Delaware's children with communicative disabilities, who are often further disadvantaged by poverty. The unique program seeks to overcome challenges by fostering assets that lead to success. For more information, go to www.cbhinc.org.
