Dewey commissioners to meet April 11
Dewey Beach commissioners will hold a regular town meeting at 9 a.m., Saturday, April 11, broadcast from the Lifesaving Station and viewable via livestream at www.townofdeweybeach.com. Commissioners may vote to send a draft ordinance on closing time to the planning and zoning commission, to amend the number of set-aside accounts and associated revenue allocations, to approve a resolution improving monitoring and enforcement of conditional uses, to order more beach access mats and to authorize Jungle Jim’s Total Pet Care to sell Dewey Beach dog licenses for one year.
Lewes sea-level rise subcommittee to meet April 8 via Zoom
The Lewes Planning Commission’s subcommittee on sea-level rise will meet via Zoom at 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 8. A link can be found at www.lewes.civicweb.net.
Lewes Board of Health meets April 8 via Zoom
The Lewes Board of Health will meet via Zoom at 1 p.m., Wednesday, April 8. The board will provide an update on the COVID-19 crisis in Delaware and consider recommendations to mayor and council. A link can be found at www.lewes.civicweb.net.
Cape school board holds virtual meeting April 7 via Zoom
The Cape Henlopen school board will hold a virtual meeting Tuesday, April 7. Executive session, which is closed to the public, will convene at 1 p.m., for discussion of personnel and legal issues, and interviews for the athletic director position. Open session will reconvene at 4 p.m. A Zoom link is provided in the board of education agenda at www.capehenlopenschools.com. Members will take possible action on revisions to the 2019-20 district calendar, the 2020-21 calendar and bond anticipation note conversion.
Rehoboth Beach posts schedule
Rehoboth Beach City Hall facilities will be closed Friday, April 10, in observance of Good Friday. Residential trash pickup will not be affected. Normal business hours will resume Monday, April 13.
In order to reduce the risk of community spread of COVID-19, city hall, 229 Rehoboth Ave., and all public buildings are closed to the public through May 15. During this time, city staff continue to work and can be reachable by phone or email. Inquiries will be reviewed daily and will be responded to on a case-by-case basis.
