Navigating grief through holidays set Dec. 1
For many, the holiday season is a bittersweet time when the absence of loved ones is felt most deeply. To support those navigating grief, local shaman and spiritual coach Athena Monet is offering Finding Peace Through Grief Over the Holidays, from 12:30 to 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 1, at the the Lewes library.
The inclusive workshop is open to people of all ages and religious preferences. Through a series of gentle, hands-on practices including journaling, letter writing, exercises and visualizations, participants will be guided to find comfort, connection and healing. They will be reminded that relationships never truly end; they simply change form.
Monet will also share favorite prayers and meditations for navigating grief and guide participants through tools they can use at home to create moments of peace and reflection during the holidays.
“This workshop is a space to honor your emotions, celebrate the love that continues and find healing through intentional practices,” said Monet.
