The Rehoboth Art League announced that Nicholas Serratore has joined the nonprofit arts organization as exhibitions director.
Serratore will lead the art league’s exhibitions and art display functions for all the galleries on its historic campus and other locations where RAL’s collections and members’ works are on display.
“We are looking forward to Nick’s return to the Rehoboth Art League,” said board Chair Steve Sumption. “He brings with him a lot of knowledge, experience and energy, and we are excited to see the new and exciting directions in which he will lead the galleries.”
Serratore was an art instructor and gallery manager for RAL from 2008 to 2012. He is familiar with all the roles of the exhibitions director, and being an artist himself, understands the creative needs of the hundreds of member artists who exhibit their work at the art league.
For almost a decade, Serratore owned and operated Saxon Swan Gallery of Fine Arts & Crafts in Lewes. He has worked from the Studios on Walnut in Milton for several years. His popular pastel work has garnered multiple awards, and he has received an Emerging Artist Award from the Delaware Division of the Arts. Serratore has been a longtime fixture at the Rehoboth Art League’s Annual Outdoor Show, and in addition to teaching, he exhibits his work in solo and group shows around the region.
The Rehoboth Art League is a membership-based nonprofit arts organization dedicated to teaching, preserving and inspiring the arts in the region. For more information, go to www.rehobothartleague.org.
