The Lewes Fire Department held its fourth annual open house Oct. 19 during Fire Prevention Month at Station 2 in Nassau. Volunteers demonstrated firefighting and extraction from a vehicle. The event also included equipment demonstrations, CPR training, a smoke house, food trucks and plenty of children’s activities, including a scavenger hunt to visit each vendor.
Taking part in the open house were Beebe Healthcare, Sussex County EMS, Lewes Police Department, Delaware State Fire School, Milton Fire Department and Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company.
