Randolph Smith takes helm as Rotary’s new district governor

June 28, 2024

Randolph Smith was installed as the newest district governor for Rotary International’s District 7630 in a June 23 ceremony at Kings Creek Country Club near Rehoboth Beach.

“As the first Black male district governor for the area, I want to make sure the community knows how diverse we are,” said Randolph, who grew up in Washington, D.C. “A significant piece of my platform I want to use as I visit with the 39 clubs in this district is continuity and change. We can have continuity, yes, but we must also have change.”

Rotary International’s vision statement is a testament to this. It reads: “Together, we see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities and in ourselves.”
