Rebecca Jean “Becky” Koch, Diamond State retiree
Rebecca Jean “Becky” Koch, 72, of Georgetown passed away Sunday, Dec. 30, 2018, at her home.
Becky was born April 1, 1946, to the late Ralph and Florence Niblett Elliott. She graduated from Georgetown High School, class of 1964. Becky received her associates degree in 1986 from the Community College of Vermont.
She recently worked as a cashier for Harris Teeter food chain. In 1964, she worked for Diamond State Telephone in the traffic and engineering department. While working at Diamond State Telephone, she met Norman and they married in 1972. Her journey began as she followed her husband’s telephone career to Alaska in 1976, then to Vermont in 1983, where they resided for over 30 years. Becky stayed home and raised three sons. After 30 years, they then decided to make their move back home to Delaware.
In addition to her parents, Becky was preceded by her husband of 46 years, Norman H. Koch.
She is survived by three sons; Norman Adam Koch (Debbie), Matthew A. Koch (Janice), and Ryan J. Koch (Maria); and four grandchildren; Wyatt, Mackenzie, Cody and Leah Koch.
Visitation for family will be private. No services will be held and burial will be at the Providence Church in Georgetown.
