Robert J. "Bob" Webb Sr., avid Eagles fan

Robert J. "Bob" Webb Sr., 65, of Dagsboro, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017, at his home.

Born in Chester, Pa., Nov. 15, 1951, to the late William H. and Anna (Janusiewicz) Webb, he graduated from Saint James Catholic High School, where he played basketball.

Bob was employed by Wonder Bread and also Frito Lay before retiring.

He was an avid Eagles fan.

He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Dorothy E. (Martin) Webb; two children, Robert J. "Bobby" Webb Jr. (Kate) of Lincoln and Danielle Hebert (Kevin) of Winter Park, Fla.; three stepchildren, Rick Webster (Beth) of Dagsboro, Angela Hovatter (Byron Lindsey) of Powder Springs, Ga., and Pamela Bays of York, S.C. He was a proud Poppop to 11 grandchildren: Ariana, Juliauna, Bobby III, Shaylee Webb, Kevin, Michael Hebert, Megan, Chelsea, Chloe Webster, and Jonathan, Jeremy Bays. He is also survived by three sisters, Dolores Marshall of Trainer, Pa., Ann Marie Collis of Ewan, N.J., and Jane Hanavin of Wilmington; as well as several nephews and nieces.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his three brothers, Joseph Webb, William "Billie" Webb and Ralph Webb Sr.; and his sister, Mary Pasternak.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 11, at 11:15 a.m., at the Frankford Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 43 Thatcher St., Frankford. Please feel welcome to wear your favorite sports attire in honor of him, even if it's not the Eagles. There will be a gathering after the service to celebrate memories of him.
