The Rehoboth Beach Film Society will host the return of the Roman Pictures Film Festival Friday and Saturday, June 21 and 22, at the Cinema Art Theater.
The festival features award-winning films from seven of Roman Pictures’ 12 festivals and includes genres from drama to documentary.
The umbrella for all its festivals, the World Roman Pictures Network is a division of the Roman Pictures production company. Its mission is to help award-winning filmmakers, screenplay writers and actors find a distributor or producer by broadcasting worldwide.
Film screenings include features: “A World of 3 Zeros,” “Desconectados,” “The Dealer Smiles,” ”The Whaler,” “Celebrating Laughter,” and two double features: “Greed & Gore”/“The Occupants” and “I’m Not Down”/“Do Over.”
All proceeds benefit the Cinema Art Theater and its ongoing projection room renovations.
The society continues to support filmmakers, writers and producers who develop fantastic cinema across many mainstream genres in hopes of securing distribution. For the local community, it’s an opportunity to see great films that may or may not make their way to a major distribution outlet such as theatrical release, Netflix or other video streaming services.
Film admission is $5 for all audience members. For all screening times and dates, and to purchase tickets, go to rehobothfilm.com or visit the box office from 12 to 8 p.m., Wednesday to Friday.
