Ronald Laws joins County Bank as chief financial officer
Joseph L. Shockley, president of County Bank, is pleased to announce the appointment of Ronald L. Laws as chief financial officer.
Laws’ extensive banking experience encompasses 30 years in financial management. Most recently he served as the CFO at Community Bank Delaware. His professional background also includes roles as executive vice president, CFO, COO and AFO at the Bank of Fruitland, which was later acquired by Mercantile Peninsula Bank.
“Ron brings a great wealth of financial and executive management experience,” said Shockley. “His background demonstrates his dedication to community banking here in Delmarva. Ron’s addition will be a great resource.”
“I look forward to joining the County Bank team because they are supportive of the local communities they serve," said Laws. “Community banking plays an important role in the local economy as well as the banking industry.”
Laws is a graduate of Salisbury University. Splitting his volunteer time between church and baseball, he currently attends and has served in past leadership roles at banking-related conferences.
