The Delmarva Christian soccer squad made the trek across Georgetown to face Sussex Tech in a final tune-up scrimmage before the regular season kicks off Friday, Sept. 9.
“I want to thank Delmarva Christian for coming over and scrimmaging us,” said Tech head coach Kyle Weed. “It was a good, clean contest, well played by both teams. I’m looking forward to the rest of our upcoming season. I’m expecting to see our guys grow each game this season. I’m looking forward to another great year.”
“I felt the Tech scrimmage went very well for both teams,” said Royals coach Dan Walton. “It gave me a good chance to evaluate my team, and see the things they are doing well and the things they need to work on. This season will be interesting. I have a very young team, but a group that will work hard and wants to win. Our goal is to improve on our record from last year.”
The Ravens travel to Archmere to open their non-conference season, while the Royals host Salisbury Christian to open play in the ESIAC.
