Saberi scholarship awarded to School of Nursing student

The Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing at Beebe Healthcare announced Francesco Malone, a first-year student residing in Harbeson, is the recipient of the Dr. Mansour Saberi Scholarship.
This scholarship is awarded to students in good academic standing who reside in Sussex County and plan to seek employment at Beebe Healthcare after graduation. It was initiated by Shirin Saberi in memory of her husband.
Saberi was board certified in internal medicine as well as endocrinology and metabolism. He was an assistant professor of medicine at Temple University from 1974 to 1976. He served as chair of the Beebe Healthcare Department of Medicine from 1976 to 2006.
