Seaford man dies following hit-and-run on Harbeson Road
Police are asking for help identifying two vehicles involved in a hit-and-run crash April 19 that claimed the life of a Seaford man on Harbeson Road.
Matthew Rosas, 28, was in the northbound lane of Harbeson Road north of Route 9 at 2:18 a.m. when he was struck by a silver car going northbound, police said. A short time later, police said, a white SUV traveling northbound also hit Rosas. Both vehicles left the scene, police said.
Rosas was taken to a nearby hospital where he died.
The Delaware State Police Troop 7 Collision Reconstruction Unit is attempting to locate a silver car with moderate front-end damage. The second vehicle is described as a smaller white SUV with minor front-end damage or damage to the undercarriage. Both vehicles were last seen driving northbound on Harbeson Road after the crash.
Harbeson Road was closed for about four hours while investigators examined the scene and cleared the roadway.
