Mike Simpler is quite simply the best choice for all of us in District 14. He is the only candidate who will represent all of us. Snyder-Hall’s published work shows her priorities are driven by out-of-state and well-funded socialists of Working Family Party fringe views that seem bent on changing Delaware for their own purposes. Look it up and I think you’ll agree.
Mike Simpler is everywhere this campaign – street corners, festivals, knocking on doors, meeting voters of all sorts, on TV, on radio – while Claire is invisible to the people she allegedly wants to represent. She will not engage Mike in any debate forum or radio show, and I know that because I’ve tried to organize them. Mike will talk to anyone, anywhere, anytime while Claire has relied on out-of-state assistance in running a shadowy campaign. I will vote for the guy who is proudly and vocally pro-small business in a region dependent on it, pro-environment in a region defined by it, pro-inclusion in a region strengthened from it, pro-education in a region where he is a product of it, pro-healthcare in a region where he is employed in it, and who will be a voice for all of us from a region that so much needs it.
Mike’s coalition has grown substantially since the primary, including Republicans, Independents and, most interestingly, Democrats. From his donors, all of whom are local, you can see the strong support he has from all sides of the aisle here in Sussex. People know he will be a voice of reason and pragmatism like Pete Schwartzkopf was for us for decades. He is truly a worthy heir to the coastal Sussex values and contributing legacy who will serve all of us.
Snyder-Hall won with a fraction of the vote. The one thing I’ve heard from friends in this campaign is their frustration at a Democratic Socialist taking the Dem slot, until they realize that Mike embodies most of their concerns without the redistributive collectivist policies his opponent pushes. Mike will go to Dover and build the relationships necessary to be effective for us, because we know he can do it. We’ve seen his community involvement in Little League, Special Olympics and the fire department. He is a man for others in belief and action. It’s a stark contrast to what Snyder-Hall brings as she tells us she’ll do what she knows we need. How does she know this when she won’t engage voters or even air her real views in a debate? Why hide what you proudly publish?
Snyder-Hall's antipathy toward voters, their views and wants is out of place here. Mike’s performance is there for all to measure – he’s listening to us, talking with us and learning from us. What more could we want from a public servant? Let’s get to it. Vote Mike Simpler for state representative and choose one who always has chosen us ahead of himself.
