Since its start in 2017, SoDel Cares has supported the work of the Joshua M. Freeman Foundation, which manages the Freeman Arts Pavilion in Selbyville.
The philanthropic arm of SoDel Concepts recently donated $10,000 to the organization, which brings the arts to residents, students and visitors in Sussex County.
“The Freeman Pavilion and the Joshua M. Freeman Foundation form a cultural pillar in our community,” said Scott Kammerer, founder of SoDel Cares and CEO of SoDel Concepts, a Rehoboth Beach-based hospitality company.
“We can count on the venue and the foundation to bring first-class entertainment to Sussex County, including local performers, and to educate our children about the importance of the arts,” he said.
The foundation impacts more than 130,000 individuals annually through the Arts Access Initiative and Freeman Arts.
In addition to the Freeman Pavilion, performances take place in schools and community centers
SoDel Cares was founded to support Delaware organizations that help children, at-risk youth and adults, and older people. The foundation has donated more than $1 million to area charities.
