St. George’s Chapel Christmas Fair to return Dec. 4
A holiday tradition for many local shoppers is the St. George’s Chapel annual Christmas Fair, which will be held this year from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 4, in the parish hall at 20332 Beaver Dam Road, Route 23, Harbeson.
A wide variety of affordable crafts handmade by Episcopal Church Women members will be available along with many items provided by outside vendors such as Honey Bee Farm products, sweatshirts and T-shirts, and many holiday-themed items.
Parishioners Ed and Colleen Herman, well known for crafting original and unique Corian cutting boards, will have many new designs for purchase. David Risseeuw, known as “the cheese man,” will offer fresh Wisconsin cheeses obtained through his family connections in that state. There will also be a selection of holiday-themed quilted table runners as well as Christmas-themed white elephant tables with a huge variety of goods for sale.
This event will feature handmade goods, jewelry, paper products and more at a table sponsored by Team Zoom Zooms of the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, an MS support group to which parishioner Jamie Colvett is dedicated.
A highlight will be the popular raffle of themed gift baskets valued between $50 and $75, along with a 50/50 raffle. To tempt the palates of shoppers, there will be a plentiful array of holiday baked goods available for purchase.
Proceeds from the Christmas fair directly benefit local charities, and organizers hope shoppers will take this opportunity to assist others at this time of year through their purchases.
Tours of the historic 300-year-old St. George’s Chapel and the labyrinth will be available.
