Teen charged in Long Neck shooting
A Millsboro teen faces gun charges after police say he shot off a weapon Aug. 13 while leaving a Long Neck home.
Police responded at 12:12 p.m. to a home in the 26000 block of Blue Dolphin Lane for a report of a shooting that occurred the night before. Police said the teen, 15, argued with another teenager and then pointed a gun at the victim. As he was leaving the home, police said, the teen fired a shot inside the house. There were four juveniles in the house at the time, police said, but no one was hurt during the incident.
Detectives identified and arrested the teen, and took him to Troop 7 where he was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, four counts first-degree reckless endangering, and aggravated menacing. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3, and committed to Stevenson House Detention Center in default of $100,000 cash bond.
