Tydewater to perform on Stango Park stage Sept. 2

The Tydewater band will be on the Stango Park stage at 6:30 p.m., Monday, Sept. 2, for the Lewes Summer Concert Series. They are a four-piece group that performs modern and classic country.  This is a rescheduled concert from Aug. 6.

Lead singer Ty Sherwood grew up in a musical family in Felton and is an former Marine who has seen a large part of the world. Now Sherwood and his group bring their love of country music to entertain audiences around Delaware and Maryland. According to Sherwood, living room jam sessions were a part of his life for as long as he can remember, and he grew up loving the songs of such country music greats as Merle Haggard, Buck Owens and George Jones. A high point of his military career was sharing the stage with Lee Greenwood at a USO performance in Naples, Italy.

Concerts are free and provide a family friendly event with diverse music options. All are welcome to bring chairs, blankets, snacks, and their dancing shoes. In case of inclement weather concerts are moved to Cape Henlopen High School.
