A travel presentation focusing on river and lake cruises in the United States and smaller ship itineraries around the world is set for 11 a.m., Thursday, May 12, at the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott on Coastal Highway north of Rehoboth Beach.
Co-hosted by Accent on Travel certified cruise experts and the sales management of American Cruise Line and Oceania Cruises, the event is open to those interested in learning about luxury small ship river and ocean options for 2022 to 2024 travel.
The event is free, but advance reservations and a confirmation in hand or on a mobile device are required for entry.
Accent on Travel founder/owner Annette Stellhorn said, “Pent-up demand for travel, coupled with the desire to avoid the current U.S. testing requirements for vaccinated Americans returning home by air travel continues to drive the demand for luxury travel experiences without the hassle. Embarking on a cruise from Baltimore, Cape Liberty and New York is becoming much more popular for Mid-Atlantic vacationers.”
American Cruise Lines’ focus has been immersion casual-style cruising along the U.S intracoastal rivers and lakes, with embarkations as far away as Juneau, Alaska, and as close as Baltimore. With 35 different itineraries and sightseeing in more than 25 states, travelers can spend lots of time exploring the country on American Cruise Lines.
Over the past three years, the cruise line has grown quickly, since international travel still challenges almost 40% of American travelers. Its very inclusive style of small-ship cruises is appealing to travelers ages 55 and above who are looking to explore the U.S. via a relaxing and spacious first-class ship.
“With the announcement of 12 additional small ships (109 passengers) being added to the fleet, and dozens of new itineraries, the best way for our current and potential Accent on Travel clients to understand these great options is to have a local audiovisual presentation. The new catamaran-style ships combine the adventure of an expedition with the luxury of the finest river cruises. Large staterooms with private balconies, included shore excursions, open bar and embarkation from Baltimore make even the most committed homebody able to afford the luxury of American Cruise Line, ready to travel,” said Stellhorn.
Oceania Cruises, known for its small-ship, country club casual cruises, also will have a representative present to detail new itineraries ranging from New York departures to around-the-world options. Part of the Regent Seven Seas NCL Group, Oceania Cruises has used the last three years to continue to build beautiful new ships that offer unique itineraries, and the best in onboard experiences and accommodations. Oceania continues to win awards for its onboard dining venues which provide a wide array of the finest cuisine at sea at no additional charge. Port calls generally include itineraries with an overnight in port using the ship as a hotel, and longer, more immersion-style shore excursions.
Both American Cruise Line and Oceania Cruises focus on more of an adult cruise experience with no onboard entertainment or babysitting services available for children.
Both lines, like many other cruise lines that market to American travelers, have a preferred agreement with Accent on Travel to provide cruisers with exclusive benefits and amenities unable to be received when booking directly with the cruise lines. Accent on Travel professionals are trained specialists who have travelers’ best interests at heart, and access to the management of the cruise line, giving travelers a greater likelihood of having a cruise vacation that exceeds their expectations.
Accent on Travel guests are more informed before and during their purchase of a cruise vacation than the average cruiser, which gives them a far better overall cruise experience.
