Vacations Beyond the Ordinary travel event set April 7

Accent on Travel will present Vacations Beyond the Ordinary at from 5 to 7:45 p.m., Tuesday, April 7, at Kings Creek Country Club in Rehoboth Beach.

Bill Newcott, a former travel writer for AARP and National Geographic, and now an adjunct trip host for Accent on Travel, will offer a “Why Travel” talk to start off the event.

“There is a wide variety of amazing vacation experiences out there for the traveling public. This is the perfect way for those who wish to go beyond traditional large-group guided tours, ocean and river cruises, Disney vacations and beach stays to spend the evening learning about a great many of those options. Our team of travel advisors have personally traveled to all seven continents and are certified to help travelers with a much broader array of destinations and opportunities more to their personal liking than they may be aware of,” said Annette Nero Stellhorn, owner of Accent on Travel.

Sales executives from more than 12 companies will be available at Vacations Beyond the Ordinary to talk with local travelers. Wildlife lovers will find several companies in attendance including Natural Habitat, which will offer information on the Polar Bear Migration in Canada hosted by Accent on Travel. Award-winning cycling and multisport company Backroads will be available to talk to those interested in biking through the wine countries of France, Spain or Italy, taking their families away on a hosted Active Adventure-style trip, or joining the local Sussex Cyclists-hosted trip to the Netherlands and Belgium next year.

Arctic and Antarctic expedition and Northern Lights and wildlife cruises companies Lindblad, Silversea and Ponant will send representatives to talk with guests directly and briefly present their offerings for the next few years. Australia, New Zealand and Africa specialists with Swain will be on hand to chat with guests about the custom itineraries Accent on Travel can create with them.

U by Uniworld and AIC representatives will give insights on their very hip new styles of travel including river cruises featuring rooftop bar tours in Europe, the Hard Rock hotels in Cabo and the Caribbean, and the luxurious hotels of Nobu, Unico and Eden Rock for chic and relaxing getaways.

Traditional touring and rail tours with a new twist will be presented by Rocky Mountaineer, and Luxury Gold from Insight Vacations which feature Michelin Star restaurants will also be represented by its sales management representatives. Abercrombie & Kent and TCS World Travel will attend with their private jet journey offerings visiting both the wonders of the world and immersions into specific destinations. Private jet service is available out of Georgetown, Ocean City, Md., and Salisbury, Md.

Lastly, Hurtigruten Cruises with the first of several green ships will offer a short presentation about these new ships traveling to the Arctic, Antarctic, Alaska, and its mainstay Norway Coastal Cruises and the Northern Lights cruise hosted from Delaware in 2021.

Accent on Travel certified travel advisors will be on hand to connect guests with information on a full array of travel planning assistance and travel tips.
