Wayne E. Sherman, Mariner custodian
Wayne E. Sherman, 60, of Milton passed away Monday, April 16, 2018, at his home. Wayne was the son of Edwin and Catherine (Donovan) Sherman.
He was the chief custodian at Mariner Middle School in Milton. He enjoyed restoring old vehicles, collecting antiques, hunting, and attending Amish and other auctions. He was a funny, caring, kind and gentle man.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife, Debra (Shane) Sherman; his son Brian Sherman (wife Nicole, their kids John and Paige) and Debra's children: Richard Rush (kids: Ricky, Emily, Cody, Aiden and Izabella) and Brandy Riskin (kids: Dylan and Rachel); two sisters: Cheryl Joseph (husband Harry) and Colleen Anderson (husband Alan); aunt Thelma; and his many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 21, in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal St., Milton, where friends may call after 11 a.m. To honor Wayne’s personal style, family and friends are encouraged to wear blue jeans and white T-shirts. Interment will be held privately at Harbeson Cemetery.
