White’s Chapel UMC to celebrate 180th anniversary Oct. 28

White’s Chapel United Methodist Church of Milton will celebrate two major events Sunday, Oct. 28. Beginning at 2 p.m., the church will have its annual homecoming service, with keynote speaker Pastor Scot McClymont of 4 the World Ministries in Smyrna. Music will be provided by David Morgan, a member of the Delmarva Gospel Association; Sharon Morgan, soloist from Ellendale United Methodist Church; and Norman Reynolds, pianist and organist from Ellendale UMC. A catered dinner will follow the service.

During the homecoming festivities, the church will also honor its 180th anniversary, having been founded in 1838 in a schoolhouse not far from the current church at 15373 Coastal Highway, Milton.
