Women’s Fest Rehoboth kicks off April 10

March 8, 2025

Tickets are now available for Women’s+ Fest, one of the largest women’s events on the East Coast, and a multi-day celebration of inclusivity, empowerment and community.

Activities will take place from Thursday to Sunday, April 10 to 13, at a variety of venues in and around Rehoboth Beach. Find complete details at camprehoboth.org/womensfest.

Proceeds benefit CAMP Rehoboth, an LGBTQ+ community center determined to create an environment that is inclusive of all sexual orientations and gender identities in southern Delaware and beyond.

Women’s+ Fest is a spring tradition that offers entertainment, sports, music, dancing, comedy, education and fun. The event starts April 10, with a golf tournament, art reception and welcome dance. Two full days of activities follow, concluding at noon, April 13, with the Farewell Social.

Friday evening, April 11, will feature the stand-up comedy stylings of rising star Gwen La Roka of Chicago, the winner of the '21 NY Latino Film Festival Stand Up Comedy Competition. She is now the first Latina from Chicago to make her comedy special debut on HBO Max. Her honest comedic approach meshed with her physical humor will have crowds of different ages and from different backgrounds laughing at life together.

Following La Roka will be a quick live auction offering a little something for everyone, from a spectacular Olivia Greek Isles luxury cruise to one-of-a-kind Women’s+ Fest artwork and more.

Friday evening will continue with a stellar performance by the talented Be Steadwell and her band. Steadwell's original music features earnest lyricism and affirming queer content and is known for being raw, sensual, powerful and honest.

Saturday night’s Premier Dance will be to the beat of GirlsRoom, a local, all-female, rock ‘n’ roll band, and DJ Peggy Castle. Between the band’s rocking sounds and Castle’s brilliant song picks, everyone will be up and out on the floor.

Other performers during Women’s+ Fest include Tret Fure, a prolific artist in the contemporary singer-songwriter arena and a veteran of the women's music scene, quick-witted veteran comedian Poppy Champlin, popular local band Mama’s Black Sheep, and returning favorites Christine Havrilla and Regina Sayles.

Additional highlights include engaging speakers such as Col. Grethe Cammermeyer in conversation with retired Maj. Gen. Tammy Smith, the first female general officer to serve in an Eighth Army headquarters-level position; sports events such as pickleball, golf and bowling; and an expo that is free, open to the public, and features vendors selling jewelry, art, décor, foods, gifts and other irresistible items. Each fest day offers a tantalizing array of options to choose from, such as a pop-up bookstore, art show, singles happy hour and drag brunch.

New activities this year are sound therapy and mingo (bingo with music), as well two singles events: Sip’n’mingle, which will include a fun “puzzle piece” activity to encourage mingling, and a singles dance party.

The 2025 Women’s+ Fest has a new name and logo that features a plus sign to emphasize that it’s an inclusive event for women, both trans and cis, nonbinary folks, and those who live on the spectrum of the feminine spirit. Anyone who may have needs related to accessibility should contact accessibility@camprehoboth.org.

Participants are encouraged to secure tickets early, as many of the activities sell out quickly. For the latest event information, go to camprehoboth.org/womensfest.

Proceeds from Women’s+ FEST benefit CAMP Rehoboth, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, and support the activities and programs it provides for the Rehoboth community. The organization operates a community center; offers a variety of activities, cultural events, service projects and educational programs; and advocates for a community of inclusion in Southern Delaware.
