Worcester Preparatory School announced the successful launch of its Wellness @ Worcester initiative, a program crafted to nurture the physical and mental well-being of its upper school students.
Spearheaded by enthusiastic junior Lydia Schwartz in collaboration with the college counseling program, the event introduced students to a holistic approach to health, emphasizing stress management, study skills and wise lifestyle choices.
Highlighting the event was a heartwarming visit from Pets on Wheels of Wicomico County volunteers with an adorable quartet of therapy dogs. As a certified handler for National Canine Therapy Dogs and the youngest member of Pets on Wheels, Schwartz is well-versed in the uplifting effect animals can have on the human spirit. Her dedicated service alongside her pug, Sprinkles, has touched numerous lives across hospitals, nursing homes and educational institutions.
