Del Tech lacrosse downs DIII Cairn University 21-8

Hopes high for postseason play

The Delaware Tech men’s lacrosse team moved to 3-5 on the season with a 21-8 win over Division III Cairn University at the DE Turf Sports Complex in Milford April 13. They previously defeated Carroll Community College 16-12 on April 12.

Conor Christie lead the Dell Tech squad with five goals and three assists. Sean Hinchey had four goals and one helper. Liam Bernant hit the back of the twine four times. Matt Kracayla and Conor Fuchs scored three and two goals respectively.

Louis Savino won 30-of-32 faceoff opportunities and scored three goals.

Goalies Billy Arterbridge and Ryan Siverson each made four saves.

Del Tech plays in District 19 of the National Junior College Athletic Association.

The Del Tech squad, based at the Terry Campus in Dover, is coached by former Salesianum School assistant coach Sean Tischler. He is assisted by 2008 Cape grad Franc Cook.

Cairn University, based in Langhorne, Pa., plays in the NCAA Division III Colonial States Athletic Conference. The school has eight men's and seven women's varsity sports.
