The 2015 election season is drawing to a close but the 2016 season - a presidential election year - has plenty of legs already.
I was reminded - as if I needed a reminder - that politics can often be a dirty business when I pedaled across the Silver Lake footbridge in front of the Rehoboth Beach School recently. Staring up at me from just beneath the lake's surface was a Re-Elect sign. Nature edited the sign to make sure that who exactly the sign was seeking re-election for couldn't be read. The snapping turtles, ducks and carp that hang out at the bridge looking for handouts didn't seem moved by the message. They just tread water around the slowly deteriorating cardboard, more interested in survival than campaigns.
