Some Pigs Can Paint

Some pigs can paint.

Some pigs can do puzzles.

Some pigs can play ball.

But all pigs suffer. They suffer in confinement. They suffer in transport. They suffer when slaughtered.

Pig suffering is directly related to human suffering through confinement, filth, pollution, violence and disease from human consumption of pig flesh in the form of ham, pork chops, hot dogs, and BACON. All of these pig products are full of fat, full of toxins, full of antibiotics, full of scraps for processed meat leading to obesity, heart disease, cancer and diabetes in humans. The suffering of pigs and the suffering of humans are deeply intertwined. It’s time to end the suffering.

The World Health Organization has warned us of the dire health consequences of consuming processed meat—ham, hot dogs, cold cuts, bacon—all from pigs.  And the Physicians Committee (PCRM.ORG) is urging the public nationwide and our favorite fast food restaurants to BreakUpWithBacon.org.

Locally, Kerry Foley, M.D., an active member of The Physicians Committee is leading a protest at the Dewey Beach Bacon Fest Saturday April 27. I’ll be there with Dr. Foley and many others who want to end the suffering for pigs and for humans. Join us!
